Peers refers to our friends or people that are in the same age group with us. This set of people have a really great impact on our lives because we spend most of our time with them just like we do with our family. This people are meant to either help us discover ourself or help us lose ourself. We might not have choice knowing the good ones but we do have choice picking the right advice, taking the right steps with them and making the most of our time with them.
The influence of peers can be so strong at times that it makes you looose tour stance in life which takes the grace of God to be able to stand back on your feet. One of the strategies they use is making you feel odd, so odd that you start to feel you are the only abnormal person on Earth. This opens up your subconscious mind to take in their suggestions.
Once this suggestions get fully absorbed, your way of thinking slowly starts to change to the way your peers think and want you to think. With time it become natural and absolutely normal for you also to thing like they do. That feeling that you shouldn't want to be like them is taken away. Suddenly you experience a tremendous change in your character and attitude that even you could find rather confusing and abnormal, but by then you have very little say, as most times what we have in the subconscious direct our conscious mind. That's why this saying " a sheep that walks with a dog will eat dung" remains valid.
